After operating a truck outfitting shop for my friend for over a year I got a job in 1996 as an inside sales/customer service rep for Transamerica Auto Parts in Union City. I learned the intricacies of the wholesale auto parts industry and rapidly built a loyal customer base. Three years later I was presented with an opportunity to buy a successful truck-outfitting shop in prime location from Jerry Parle, who was selling his business, Jerry's Truck and Auto. I took over the business in 1999 and a year later changed company's name to what it is today - Redline Motorsports. I retained the technician who Parle had used, John Murzie. John is really good mechanic with extensive professional experience in auto field and has been a big part of the business. He is a huge car buff who lives, eats, and sleeps cars and trucks. So it is a passion for him more than just a job. Using my sales and marketing skills I immediately hit it off with clients and vendors. Big part of our success is that I know how to get good prices from wholesalers. In addition to that, being a two-man show I can beat many of the larger truck shops by having flexible pricing structure. If I want to make little less profit on a job in order to get the business, I will. As a result, I constantly beat my competition by 15% or more. We buy products from a handful of manufacturers. I use all of my connections and experience to make Redline Motorsports the success. The result is a company that specializes in outstanding customer service and high-quality work.
